I first began using Hypnosis to help others in 1997.
I had always been fascinated with the phenomena of hypnotic trance, even as a child, but in ‘97, I obtained my first qualification with the ‘National College of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy’, and it enabled me to practice as a therapist.
After some years of practicing therapy, I took a break when I had the opportunity to become a Police Officer. Having utilised the power of Hypnosis for myself to gain entry to the job, I served in my local Police Force for almost 20 years, and during that time, I was also able to use my skills to assist many vulnerable and fragile victims of crime. Victims of serious abuse or violence often need to dig deep to find the strength to stand up and be heard. I am proud to have been able to assist many of them to find that strength.
In 2019, I left the force and returned once again to my passion for hypnosis and trance-work, and after some fresh training, obtained a further qualification (Diploma). I now provide personalised hypnotherapy services, working with whatever a client brings to the session. If it relates to a state of mind, or unconscious/unwanted behaviour, I can work with it. [unfortunately, I choose not to do stop-smoking work]. Most of the issues my clients bring are connected to anxiety, depression, or trauma. My experience has me uniquely placed, with an understanding of working with trauma resulting from being the victim of crime, and knowledge of the implications of therapy for any ongoing prosecution. Although, of course, I will work with all varieties of Trauma and Psychological issues.
My approach to therapy is very client lead, designed to help you lead the balanced, harmonious life you desire, in a manner of your choosing. I see my role as an assistant to enable my clients to make the positive changes they are looking for, and I teach take-away techniques which empower the client to take back control.
To prospective clients, I offer an open invitation to simply chat with me about any issue you may want to tackle. There is no obligation, no fee, and it might just be what you are looking for.
