Kerry’s professional background is in Mental Health Occupational Therapy, having worked in both adult and child & adolescent mental health services in the NHS. Using mindfulness based approaches with many clients and having a devoted mindfulness meditation practice herself, she is passionate about the benefits that mindfulness can offer.
She teaches mindfulness to help clients with managing anxiety, stress, depression and enhance overall emotional health and wellbeing. She is particularly passionate about the use of mindfulness for helping to develop self-compassion, helping to reduce self-criticism and increase self worth.
Mindfulness is the practice of being in the present moment and developing awareness. Paying attention to both our mind and body, in a particular way, non-judgmentally and with compassion. Mindfulness is about awareness of our surroundings, our thoughts, emotions and physical sensations and often uses the breath as a way of grounding us in the present.
Ruminating about the past or worrying about the future are common and habitual thought patterns for the mind to get stuck in, which significantly contribute to stress, anxiety and low mood. By learning mindfulness, you will learn to become more aware of these thought patterns and how to respond differently to them.
You could think of mindfulness as like exercise for the mind!

I offer an initial FREE telephone consultation of up to 20 minutes to see if mindfulness would be appropriate for you and your current needs.
Thereafter, each session lasting between 50-60 minutes costs £55
I normally deliver an 8 session programme for clients. However when choosing to have 1:1 mindfulness, as opposed to attending an 8-week course, this can be flexible so I am able to offer more or less sessions to suit your individual needs if you wish.
Sessions include personal coaching in core mindfulness techniques, session hand outs and all audio recordings of meditations practiced in sessions.
Payment is to be made after each session. I can accept direct payment by bank transfer (BACS).
