My passion for art therapy comes from my personal belief in the transformative power of art. I am experienced in working with adult clients across a range of identities and locations, including the LGBTQIA+ community, refugees, veterans, those with neurodivergence and learning differences, and clients experiencing the impacts of physical illness and chronic fatigue. I provide art-based therapeutic interventions for a range of psychological issues including depression, insomnia, intrusive thoughts, anxiety, life transitions, grief, eating patterns and/or body dysmorphia, addiction, and relationships. I specialize in trauma and working with adults with an interest in emotional exploration and am skilled in working with complex presentations including dissociative conditions and personality disorders.
I utilize creative therapeutic approaches including bilateral drawing, EDPP process painting, Intuitive Prose, and somatic/ embodied clay field. I approach my Art Therapy practice from a trauma-informed lens, working in a person-centred way that values all of who you are. I meet each client with compassion and curiosity, supporting your engagement with new creative ways of expression, and the exploration of materials and metaphor in Art Therapy.
Prior to working in private practice, I have worked extensively in the charity sector with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. I have a keen interest in neurological study with a research concentration, and am a published author, presenting my work at Art Therapy Conferences, facilitating workshops across the globe, and partnering with academic and professional institutions.
